      A ( D A )
Been so long it seems forever!
      Bm7 E
Girl, I've got to see you now.
      A ( D A )
You and I must get together
      E ( B E )
      when our schedules both allow.
      D A
      Got an open evenin' comin'
      D A
Tuesday for an hour or two.
      D A
Won't you be my weeknight woman?
      B7 ( E A )
That's when I got time for you.

D ( E A ) ( D A6 ) ( B E )
Friday night I must unwind an' leave the grind far behind.
D ( E A ) ( D E ) ( D6 A )
Happy Hour I'll hang around an' toss 'em down 'til I'm unwound.
  E ( B E )
Love to see you Friday night
  E ( B E )
  but my Friday schedule's tight.
    D A6
    Weeknight Woman, say you're mine
  ( D7 E7 ) A
    any other time.

Been so long it seems forever!
Got to see you soon somehow.
You and I must get together
      when our schedules both allow.
      Got an open evenin' comin'
Tuesday for an hour or two.
Won't you be my weeknight woman?
That's when I got time for you.

D ( E A ) ( D A6 ) ( B E )
Saturday I sleep away half the day 'til I'm okay.
D ( E A ) ( D A ) ( E A7 )
Then I've got no time to waste, I clean this place - just in case.
D ( E A ) ( D A6 ) ( B E )
Shit and shower, shave and dry. Here is why: that's when I
D ( E A ) ( D E ) ( D6 A )
meet an old acquaintance so we can go see a show.
  Love to see you Saturday,
but my time just slips away.
    Weeknight Woman, say you're mine
    any other time.

I pick Mother up next day. We drive away to church and pray.
We get forgiveness for our wrongs; we cough up alms; we sing some songs.
For my trouble she'll prepare Sunday fare beyond compare.
I'll sit down with Sunday's news, kick off my shoes, and catch a snooze.
  Sunday we should meet somewhere,
but I've got no time to spare.
    Weeknight Woman, say you're mine
    any other time.

Been so long it seems forever!
I can't wait to see you now.
You and I must get together
      when our schedules both allow.
      Got an open evenin' comin'
Tuesday for an hour or two.
Won't you be my weeknight woman?
That's when I got time for you.
